About Bill:

Bill Anderson was born in Louisville, Kentucky in April, 1961. He grew up on the family farm in Bullitt County, Kentucky and started fishing at an early age. He married his wife Lisa in 1997 and they moved to Kentucky Lake and bought a resort, Gingerwood Lodges, in 2001. They have five children, Rachel, Joy, Benjamin, Amanda and Caitlin, all of them grown-up and out on their own now.  They have three grandsons, Robbie who was born in 2005, Joel who we lost in 2006 and the newest edition, James who was born January 9, 2010.

After talking with all of the professional bass fishermen that have stayed with them at Gingerwood Lodges over the years and all of their encouragement, in 2008, Bill decided to follow his life-long dream of professional bass fishing and signed up for the FLW, Bass Fishing League, LBL Division on Kentucky Lake as a co-angler.  He fished as a co-angler in the 2009 FLW Stren Series & BFL, LBL Division and plans on fishing the 2010 FLW American Fishing (formerly Stren) Series and the BFL, LBL Division.  Bill & Lisa look forward again this year to the out of state tournaments where they will reconnect with friends and make many more.

Besides fishing himself, Bill & Lisa, through Gingerwood Lodges, are able to sponsor some upcoming professional fishermen themselves. They include: Dave Fritts of Illinios; Shane Melton of Indiana; Mark Frickman of Michigan and Tim Rasberry of Arkansas.  Bill & Lisa feel blessed to be able to live at beautiful Kentucky Lake and meet, visit with and make friends with all of the wonderful people that stay with them at Gingerwood Lodges.

Bill pledges a portion of his winnings to charities and most importantly to cancer research and treatment.

Please keep stopping by, and keep an eye out for Bill's 2009 tournament results, new fishing tips, and much much more.
